Jonathan Cohler is recognized throughout the world as an absolute master of the clarinet (The Clarinet journal) and has recorded many renowned CDs. Through his performances around the world and on record, he has thrilled an ever widening audience with his incredible musicianship and total technical command. His technical feats have been hailed as superhuman and Fanfare Magazine has placed him in the pantheon of legendary musicians: one thinks of Dinu Lipatti.

He and Lithuanian pianist Rasa Vitkauskaite form today's leading clarinet-piano duo. Regarding his newest Weber CD, Fanfare wrote, If ever a clarinetist exhibited supernatural powers, it would be Jonathan Cohler. He is Professor of Clarinet and Chamber music at the Longy School of Music of Bard College and is a Vandoren, Rossi, and Royal Global artist. For more information, see his website at jonathancohler.com.

Hailed for artistry of poetic and observant sensitivity (Gramophone), Rasa Vitkauskaite is an internationally acclaimed, multiple award-winning pianist. Fanfare highlighted her 2014 debut solo CD, Reflections (Ongaku Records), on its cover and praised her scintillating pianism while dubbing her a Beethoven interpreter of penetrating insight. She is a faculty member of the Concord Conservatory of Music, the Youth & Muse International Summer Music Festival, and pianist of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra. For more information, see her website at rasavitkauskaite.com.

As a solo violinist James Buswell has performed more than one hundred concertos with orchestras on five continents. He was a GRAMMY® nominee for his recording of the Barber Violin Concerto with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Distinguished conductors with whom he has collaborated include Leonard Bernstein, George Szell, Seiji Ozawa, Zubin Mehta, André Previn, Pierre Boulez, and Michael Tilson Thomas. Early in his musical career he took up the baton, and he has conducted opera, ballet, and symphonic repertoire also on five continents. While still attending Harvard University Buswell became well-known as a chamber musician and recitalist. He performed at the opening of Alice Tully Hall in New York with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, which he later joined as a regular artist-member. He has given world première performances and made recordings of works by many contemporary composers including Ned Rorem, Yehudi Wyner, Gunther Schuller, John Harbison, Gian Carlo Menotti, and Ellen Taafe Zwilich. James Buswell is also known as one of Americas pre-eminent teachers. He was on the faculties of both Indiana University and the New England Conservatory when each institution experienced a golden age of string pedagogy.

Cellist Sebastian Bäverstam is a winner of the 2009 Concert Artists Guild International Competition and the Boston Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. He has performed the Shostakovich Concerto No. 2 with the BSO at Symphony Hall. In 2007 Mr. Bäverstam substituted for Lynn Harrell with the Cape Cod Symphony on only six hours notice and delighted the audience playing Schumanns Cello Concerto. He was praised by the Cape Cod Times for his insightful musicianship and poetic feeling. Mr. Bäverstam has toured as a soloist with orchestras in China, Venezuela and Brazil. He has appeared multiple times on the nationally syndicated radio show From the Top, participated in a PBS documentary filmed at Carnegie Hall and performed the complete Bach Cello Suites at Williams College. He was also invited to perform at several notable music festivals around the globe including the Aspen Festival, the Banff Center in Canada, the Verbier Festival Academy and the International Music Academy in Switzerland under the direction of Seiji Ozawa.
