Fort Ward "Let's Make History" Jazz Gala
Friends of Fort Ward and IslandWood invite you to the "Let's Make History" Jazz Gala Celebration and Fundraiser, benefiting the Fort Ward Community Hall project, 3-6 pm Sunday, July 30.
Enjoy great food and live jazz music, and celebrate with us as we honor our project partners and contributors, and announce the start of renovation work on the Fort Ward Community Hall.
Live music from the Swing years and beyond will be provided by the acclaimed vintage jazz duo "Sundae + Mr. Goessl" of Seattle. Accompanied by guitarist Jason Goessl, Kate "Sundae" Voss was awarded the Golden Ear Award as 2016 Vocalist of the Year fromEarshot Jazz -- don't miss this Bainbridge performance!
Friends of Fort Ward will introduce two new historic photo displays, showing rare images of historic Fort Ward recently drawn from the National Archives and other sources. We'll also have fun giveaways throughout the afternoon.
Tickets are $50, with all proceeds benefiting the Fort Ward Community Hall project.

The Fort Ward Community Hall project will see restoration of the historic Fort Ward bakery building for use as a public park facility, with renovation work beginning summer 2017. Now is the time to give!
The project is a partnership of the Friends of Fort Ward neighborhood group, the Bainbridge Island Metro Park District, and Kitsap County (Fort Ward) Sewer District No. 7.
When the renovation is complete, the building will be managed by the Park District for classes, youth events and community gatherings.
