TO TELL MY STORY takes the story of Hamlet into the one place even more dangerous and fraught than medieval Denmark: the mind of a teenage girl. In a world where political backstabbing plays out on Facebook and Teen Vogue is helping lead the progressive resistance, this is the reimagining of Shakespeares Danish detective story that we need.
TO TELL MY STORY is a world premiere from satirist and playwright Alexandra Petri. She has been called by Rolling Stone Magazine one of the "50 Funniest People Right Now" and by Longreads "The Only Op-Ed Columnist You Need Right Now." Petri's regular Compost column in the Washington Post regularly delights readers with its quick wit. She's an International Pun Champion who regularly nerds out about many things, including Star Wars (which inspired her Twitter sensation Emo Kylo Ren with over half a million followers).
