New Surry Theatre presents "Sylvia"
Directed by Rebecca Poole
Can a man love a dog too much? Sylvia, by A.R. Gurney, humorously explores love along with the nature of relationships of all forms. Recently produced on Broadway in 2015 starring Matthew Broderick, this is the story of Greg, his wife Kate and a stray dog names Sylvia. Funny, sweet, and very much geared towards adults (in both language and content), the story that unfolds changes everyone involved. The chaos and charm Sylvia (a role originated by Sarah Jessica Parker) brings into this marriage delights audiences and warms hearts. The play has been described as a comedic masterpiece.
Performances at the Blue Hill Town Hall Theater June 16, 17, 23. 24, 30 & July 1 at 7:00 p.m. and June 25 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets $15 general admission, $12 for students & seniors.
