Canadian Flute Association Summer In The City Flute Festival
The first ever CFA Summer In The City Flute Festival will showcase guest flutists from Brazil, Canada, Peru and the USA in three days of concerts and masterclasses in downtown Toronto. Festival director: Christopher Lee ____________________
The festival runs June 18, 19, 20 2017
Tickets: $20 per person per concert. $55 full festival pass (admission to all concerts and masterclasses).
Admission at the door (pending availability) $25.
Venues: June 18 is at Lula Lounge 1585 Dundas St. W. Toronto June 19 and 20 at St.Thomas's Anglican Church 383 Huron St. Toronto ____________________
Opening Night: June 18 at Lula Lounge with Brazilian flutist Ayres Pothoff and Peruvian jazz flutist Cesar Vivanco Sanchez make their Canadian debuts along with supporting musicians, Rodrigo Alquati (Brazil) and Canadians Sean Bellaviti and his band and guitarist James Brown! Doors open for dinner at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:30pm! Come join us for dinner with Lula's famous menu and mingle with all the festival's performers! Ticket does not include dinner. ____________________
Monday June 19 8pm: At St.Thomas's Anglican Church 383 Huron St. Toronto Sini Rueda (Peru), and Dr. Brielle Frost (USA) make their Canadian debuts alongside well-known Canadian flutists, Dr. Laurel Swinden, Louis Papachristos, Samantha Chang and festival pianist Dr. Christopher Burton! A refreshing melange of music of Shulamit Ran, Faure, and lots more!

Tuesday June 20 8pm: At St. Thomas's Anglican Church 383 Huron St. Toronto Sergio Pallottelli (USA/Italy) makes his Toronto debut alongside Vincenzo Volpe (USA) and Dr. Christine Beard (USA). They are joined by Christopher Lee (Canada) and festival pianist Dr. Christopher Burton. This night will see several guests performing together in some incredible pieces from over 300 hundred years of music!
