We're bringing Cavalli's 1657 comedy to this hemisphere for the first time. The plot is full of wit, sparkle and awkward social situations and we guarantee the music is unlike anything you've heard. Director Aria Umezawa is setting the show in modern Hollywood where internationally renowned actress Artemisia navigates fame and scandal as she struggles to find love after the death of her husband. We have a supremely talented cast of singers and an orchestra of early music specialists playing rarely-heard instruments.
