3 Day Introduction to Sociocracy Workshop on 30th May, 31st May & 1st June 2017 (for 60 participants) + basic after-class follow-on support. - Led by John Buck and table facilitation by various qualified mentors.
Our intention for this training is to provide an Introduction to Sociocracy for organisations and collaborations to learn practical skills and theoretical knowledge in sociocratic tools, principles and processes.
Participants will receive: *Scaleable/measurable practical skills *effective tools and processes *collaboration with experienced mentors *ongoing support network for shared skills *and resources in Glasgow and Scotland.
John Buck is a Certied Sociocratic Organisational Consultant, specialised in organisational structure, decision making, facilitation and conflict resolution. His work focuses on greater effectiveness, equivalence, transparency, and fun in organizations in all sectors of society from commercial companies and nonprofit organizations to neighborhood, family, and self.. He has led dozens of Sociocracy implementation projects in varied organisations such as schools, universities, companies, healthcare organisations, software businesses and eco-villages.
He and Sharon Villines co-authored; We the people, Consenting to a Deeper Democracy, the first comprehensive Sociocracy text in English.
He will be joined by Deborah Benham, Ph.D, director of 8-Shields UK, an incubator of tools for culture repair, and social and environemental sustainability. Drawing on her seven years as managing director of the Newbold Trust, she offers illuminating examples of practical applications.
