208 ensemble presents the third installment of their 2016-17 series, featuring contemporary chamber music from some of the most innovative composers writing today, including Caroline Shaw, Nico Muhly, and Ted Hearne.

PAST IS PRESENT explores the intersection of contemporary and antique art. this curated program features music that confronts and embraces its predecessors for an experience that feels at once wildly fresh and invitingly familiar.
Witness 208 ensemble in its most intimate formation as well as its most ambitious incarnation to date. Solo and duo performances are juxtaposed with a full string orchestra comprised of musicians from the Boise Philharmonic, Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Boise High Orchestra, and Boise State University.
