Ukamusic is a spontaneous and ever-changing world music collective started by Australian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Naomi Louise Warne, and features Grammy-winning saxophonist Charles Neville. Naomi created the original band U-ka (meaning "brightness") in 1993 when she lived in New Orleans. The inspiration of this city and her collaboration with Charles produced some fabulous live performances, including at the New Orleans Jazz & Blues Festival, and the Live at Snug Harbor CD, which was an official entry in the 2014 Grammy Awards. Their latest collaboration is an offering that pays tribute to the genius of Johnny Mandel, who at 91 years old is a giant among American composers. His hauntingly beautiful & timeless melodies are entwined with ethereal harmonies that harken back to Debussy & Ravel, and include standards such as The Shadow of Your Smile, Emily, The Theme From M*A*S*H, and many more. Charles Neville is best known as one of the legendary Neville Brothers, in whose recordings Charles' signature sax sound helps to insure his legacy as one of New Orleans' most important musical sons. In addition to his decades with the Neville Brothers, Charles has performed with other world-class artists including Johnny Ace, Little Walter, Jimmy Reed, Big Maybelle, James Brown, B.B. King, Bobby Blue Bland, Johnny Taylor, Clarence Carter, O.V. Wright and Ray Charles. Not ignoring his hometown, he has also played saxophone behind Allen Toussaint, James Booker, Ernie K-Doe and Huey "Piano" Smith.

A picture may paint a thousand words, but a word can tell the whole story. Exquisite! says author/radio host Ben Fong-Torres, former senior editor of Rolling Stone Magazine and perennial king of whats hot and whats not. He's talking about pop/jazz vocalist/songwriter Jenna Mammina, and he is not alone. Hailing from Michigan, home to luminary vocal legends like Aretha Franklin, Betty Carter, and her mentor, Abbey Lincoln, Jenna's mixed heritage household and neighborhood surrounded her with a vast array of diverse culture and music. With thousands of miles and performances under her tri-coastal musical gypsy skirt, Jenna has claimed the San Francisco Bay Area as her home and sanctuary. Recognized as one of the leading women of jazz/pop crossover for three years in a row by Jazziz Magazine, she recently shared the honor of both the cover and an original song, A Love that Lasts," included alongside Diana Krall and Norah Jones. Jenna has performed with a vast array of legendary talent, such as Bobby McFerrin, June Millington, Rickie Lee Jones, Al Jarreau, Phish, David Sanborn, Ray Obiedo, Wil Ackerman, Liz Story, Tuck Andress, and Rosemary Clooney. Although currently a New Yorker, guitarist Will Bernard's unique voice was formed for the most part from the rich cultural roots of the San Francisco Bay Area. Along the way he studied classical music, jazz, played in basements and coliseums, and absorbed the Bay Area Multi-Kultii, the New York downtown edge, and the loose funk of New Orleans. He has performed or recorded with Charlie Hunter, Stanton Moore, Robert Walter, John Medeski, Dr Lonnie Smith, Ben Sidran, Peter Apfelbaum, Tom Waits, Dr. John and a lot of other known and unknowns. Will can be seen working in a chameleon-like way to fit into his current habitat. His 2007 CD "Party Hats" as well as his 1997 collaborative project T.J. Kirk's If Four Was One were both nominated for Grammys, and he is nominated yearly in Downbeat Magazine's Critics Poll for Best Rising Star" Guitar Player. Will is a regular fixture at New Orleans Jazzfest, Jam Cruise and other similar events, and has toured extensively in the US and Europe. Currently, Will performs with John Medeski's Mad Skillet, Peter Apfelbaum's Sparkler, Frequinox with Stanton Moore and Robert Walter, Pleasure Drones, Brian Charette's Mighty Grinders, and the Will Bernard Trio and Quartet. Will's 8th album as a leader, Out and About was released in 2016 on Posi-Tone Records.
