SOMNIPATH presented by Inclined Dance Project
Inclined Dance Project presents SOMNIPATH, an evening length dance work exploring the most basic of human needs: sleep. Inspired by Inclined's company member's and Artistic Director Kristen Klein's struggles with various sleeping disorders (including sleepwalking, restless leg syndrome, and sleep paralysis), SOMNIPATH takes the audience on a visual journey through the various stages and abnormalities of sleep. Utilizing unique lighting methods, an original sound-score, and a collaborative movement vocabulary, Inclined Dance Project has developed a multi-layered landscape inspired by dreams, nightmares, circadian patterns, dyssomnias, shadows, REM cycles, unconsciousness, and awakening.
Choreography by Kristen Klein Performed by Inclined Dance Project: Amy Campbell, Leighann Curd, Kristen Klein, Shannon McGee, Chie Mukai, Elisabeth Wolf

About the Company: Inclined Dance Project, founded in 2009 by Artistic Director Kristen Klein, creates dance works of contemporary athleticism inspired by ever diverse human experiences. Approaching dance-making through a set and destroy method, Inclined allows the performers the opportunity to deconstruct material and incite dialogue, exploration, and personal contribution to a work. The end result is athletic, technical, and dynamic movement that challenges the performers and engages audiences. Visit www.inclineddanceproject.com for more information.
