Born in Georgetown, Guyana and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Jahdan Blakkamoore has long made a name for himself as a gifted and inspiring Reggae/Dancehall/Hip Hop/Dubstep artist, both nationally and internationally. His music has been described as Urban World Music with a message. Jahdans sense of melody, superb song writing skills and ability to effortlessly crossover genres has solidified his status as a relevant artist in the music industry. Reggae and Roots fans may know him as a member of the group Noble Society or for his song Cash Flow on the Major Lazer project from Diplo and Switch. Jahdan was also a contributing writer and featured artist on Snoop Lions Reincarnated album which received a Grammy Nomination for Best Reggae Album of 2013. Hes featured on Boulevard, Harder Times, and lends his vocals to Lighters Up with Mavado and Popcaan. The single and video For The Children with Kabaka Pyramid is still gaining worldwide attention. Relic Secure (Secure Dem Sound/Baylando Records) started writing songs at the age of 15 over beats he was making at home with a small drum machine and a simple, sampler. He released his first album "Street Scholars" in 1997. After co-founding Street Scholars Records with Sergio "DJ Serg" Monleon in 2001, he went on to release his sophomore album "Note to Self" in 2004, which featured artists such as, Zion I, Pep Love (Heiroglyphics), and Eye Cue (Hobo Junction). In 2005, after going to school for music production, Relic turned his attention to DJ'ing and producing. He founded Secure Dem Sound and within a year was spinning all over the Bay Area. He quickly built a reputation through releasing quality mixtapes featuring exclusive tracks with the biggest names in Reggae music, as well as showcasing new talent. Relic has been a stage DJ for artists such as Sister Nancy, Jahdan Blakkamoore, Pressure, Lutan Fyah, Terry Ganzie, Turbulence, Niyorah and Tousaint the Liberator. His unparalleled stage presence and remarkable, connection with audiences has helped him build a name for himself in the West Coast hip hop community. DJ Sep is the founder, promoter, and main resident DJ at Dub Mission. For 22 years, Sep was also on Bay Area radio: first at the highly influential KUSF and later at Pacifica public radio station, KPFA. She's the co-compiler (with producer Shockman) of Babylon Is Ours: The USA in Dub, a collection of all-exclusive American dub tracks released on Select Cuts Records. In 2009, Mochipet's Daly City Records released her remixes (with Jason Short) of "Get Your Dub Wet" featuring Juakali and Mista Chatman. Sep has won a Goldie Award (Bay Guardian) and been nominated for Best DJ (SF Weekly Music Awards). Maneesh the Twister has been a staple of the Bay Area music scene for over 15 years as part of Surya Dub, Dub Mission, and Dhamaal. Maneesh has been voted "Best Club DJ" in the SF Bay Guardian. He is the founder of the Surya Dub collective that helped kick off the Bay Area BASS era. He was co-founder of the Dhamaal Artist Collective and his productions appear on the Dhamaal Soundsystem CD as well as XBOX 360 game "Project Gotham" and Sony BMG India's Shamur compilation and Kush Arora's "Boiling Over." Maneesh has quite eclectic tastes and spins anything with BASS. He has shared the stage with legendary Jamaican producers Lee "Scratch" Perry and Scientist, Thievery Corporation, Bassnectar, Mad Professor, Francois K, Kode 9, Adrian Sherwood, Mala, The Bug and Warrior Queen, Flying Lotus, Eskmo, Visionary, Smith & Mighty/RSD, State of Bengal, , Karsh Kale, Nickodemus, Z-Trip, DJ Vadim, Liondub, Dan the Automator, Kush Arora, Dub Gabriel, Jah Warrior Shelter Hi-Fi, DJ G, Antiserum and Roommate.
