West Alabama Food & Wine Festival 2017
The West Alabama Food and Wine Festival will host their 5th Annual Festival on Thursday, April 27th at the beautiful Tuscaloosa River Market on the Black Warrior River. The Festival features samplings of more than 20 wines and a wide variety of delicious morsels from your favorite local eateries.
The 2017 Festival is scheduled to feature new exhibitors and samples from Urban Cook House, River & Animal Butter
The Festival will also highlight returning restaurants, Avenue Pub, Southern Ale House, Tazikis Mediterranean Cafe, DePalmas, Evangelines, Jim 'N Nicks and many more. Druid City Brewery and Black Warrior Brewery will also be returning to dole out beer tastings.
"We thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the West Alabama Food and Wine Festival. It provided us with an excellent opportunity to gain exposure within the community", said 2015 newcomer Craig Williams, Owner of Avenue Pub located in Temerson Square. "We felt honored to share the floor with some great local restaurants." Craig will be featuring his new restaurant concept at this year's festival!
Wine tastings will be provided by a variety of Alabama distributors including International Wines, United-Johnson Brothers and Alabama Crown.
Last years festival brought out over 400 guests, 20 vendors and raised over $10,000 for the West Alabama Red Cross Chapter.
"Each year we have seen the festival grow. The restaurants and wine vendors out do themselves every year. We've seen everything from seared sea scallops on Parmesan crisps to chocolate covered bacon and wine from California to France," event coordinator of the festival, Shannon Corbell, said.
Sponsorships are available featuring guaranteed seating and advertising.
