Willy Porter has been turning first time listeners into die-hard fans for more than two decades. His blistering guitar playing, rich songwriting, and warm, playful performance style make him a one-man triple threat. Carmen Nickerson is an ideal match. Her vocals add lush harmonies to Porters songs, making them feel both fresh and timeless. The pair collaborated on the 2013 EP Cheeseburgers and Gasoline and again on Porters 2015 record Human Kindness. In 2016 the duo performed as the featured musical guests on NPRs A Prairie Home Companion.
Tonight they have a new disc, Bonfire to Ash, their first album of original co-writes. Like their live show, the song collection takes listeners on a musical ride full of heart, grit, energy, and fun that showcases the best of what live music has to offer.
We're very excited to debut opener Ryanhood, a duo from Tucson, AZ that got its start busking on the streets of Boston. They are now festival and concert hall headliners west of the Mississippi, and have won more than a dozen Tucson Music Awards including Best Folk Band and Best Rock Band (you can decide for yourself which is most accurate). Cameron Hoods rich and folky lead vocals, Ryan Greens explosive guitar and mandolin riffs, and their airtight vocal harmonies make them an immediate crowd-pleaser.
