Diana Butler Bass @The Well
Plymouth Church and The Well are excited to partner in welcoming Diana Butler Bass to Seattle! She will explore how gratitude is a principle and a practice necessary to resist the messages of defeat and despair in today's world. It is part of the spiritual discipline needed to sustain us for the work of addressing injustice and spiritual harm in the world. Gratitude can be looked upon as an "extra," but it isn't. It is needed to keep us engage in the broken places of the world without becoming broken ourselves.
Diana Butler Bass is a NYT best selling author, church historian, and frequent contributor to national newspapers and websites such as the Washington Post and the Huffington Post. She is also a frequent commentator on religion, politics, and culture at USA Today, Newsweek, CBS, CNN, FOX, PBS, and NPR. She is the author if 9 books and has a forthcoming book on gratitude coming in 2018.
