RISE UP: Portland Sings for Justice
On Presidents' Day 2017, February 20, a host of Portlands most talented artists will come together at Artists Repertory Theatre for an evening celebrating our constitutional rights through song and story. Expect to hear some powerful folk ballads, show tunes and original works during this concert for Justice. The American Civil Liberties Union will receive 100% of the proceeds from this event. The ACLU is a nonpartisan, non-profit, organization whose mission is "to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States. Performers will include Mont Chris Hubbard, Vin Shambry, Joe Theissen, Malia Tippets, Don Mason, Susannah Mars, Merideth Kaye Clark, Maggie Hanson, Khameelah Waldon, Norman Wilson, Dru Rutledge, Sarah DeGrave, Darius Pierce, Stephanie Schniederman, Tony Furtado, Isaac Lamb, Amy Beth Frankel, Ricky Armendariz, Megan Misslin, Chata Addy, The Bylines, Josie Seid, Natalie McClure, Mary Flower, Kisha Jarrett, Brian Koch, Courtney Freed and more!!
