Stefanie Nelson Dancegroup ODDBALL ZEBRA March 8-10, 2013. 8pm.
Inspired by the myriad connotations, moral implications and visual metaphors associated with stripes: Darkness and danger; (all outcasts, lunatics, lepers, prostitutes, and entertainers, were required to wear an identifying stripe in the Middle Ages); outside, inside, background foreground, background, visual incongruity, moral ambiguity; defying absolutism, a perfect metaphor for continuous change.
Choreography: Stefanie Nelson, in collaboration with the dancers Dancers: Nicole von Arx, Gierre Godley, Sarah Parker, Hunt Parr, Katie Federowicz Perez, Yin Yue Original Scores by Jonah Kreitner, Juan Pablo Mantilla, and Sahand Rahbar, with additional music by Dave Nelson and Naught.
