The nation's premiere Day of Dead event is reborn. Apocalypto The Awakening La Muerte Vive's newest "rock opera-meets-cabaret", Starring - Santos de Los Angeles. This theatrical extravaganza is an explosion of color, culture, fiery music and sexed-up dancing. It fuses carpa style theater with its American counterpart "Las Vegas" grand show performance. Magical giant judas-puppets, eye-popping art and paper mache skulls come alive during the show. With special musical guest Quinto Sol.
Written and directed by Tony Dominguez, creative adaptation and music score by Santos de Los Angeles with special burlesque performances by Miss Ruby Champagne, Paula (Baby) Alvarez, Violet Valentine and special musical performances to be announced, APOCALYPTO 2012 is spun from the Mayan prophecy of 2012 the end of one world age and the dawning of a new one. It is a magical tale of death, resurrection and the power of love.
About La Muerte Vive (LMV) LMV is a theater production company dedicated to revitalizing the Los Angeles Theater District with rock opera-meets-cabaret style shows developed to appeal to a new generation of theater audiences. LMV features the largest collection of giant Judas style paper mache puppets created by artist Tony Dominguez. Dominguez is also the founder of Festival de la Gente an art and music celebration that was held on the Historic Los Angeles 6th Street Bridge, and an 2011 ISES N.Y. Metro Big Apple Team Award Winner for his work on New York City's "Celebrate the Miracle" 1st anniversary reunion event (U.S Airways flight 1549 Capt. Sully Sullenberger).
