Sobers & Godley presents Revisit and MEN
Sobers & Godley will have their 2nd NYC Season with two exciting programs of work by 10 companies.
Program A-October 20th: Revisit
Simone Sobers Dance, Project 44, and Sobers & Godley will showcase repertory works that include works by Bradley Shelver (company premiere), Sidra Bell (2010), and Nellie Rainwater (world premiere).
Program B-October 21st: MEN
An evening of work by male choreographers: Gierre Godley, Bradley Shelver, Malcolm Low, Jeremy McQueen, Austin Diaz & Jonathan Campbell, Matthew Flatley & Robert Vail, Billy Bell, Aaron McGloin, and James Atkinson.

ABOUT- Sobers & Godley
Sobers & Godley founded in 2009 by Simone Sobers and Gierre Godley is a dynamic and versatile partnership created with the intent to perform,create, and produce contemporary works with a heartrending voice. Sobers and Godley fuse physicality, sensuality, and raw emotion to create a real experience for their audience. In addition to creating their own work, Sobers and Godley perform repertory pieces that include work by Camille A. Brown, Sidra Bell, Troy Powell, Nathan Trice, Adam Barruch, Nellie Rainwater and Sydney Skybetter/Jessy Smith. The duet had their first full- length evening at NYU Atlas Theater in May 2010. Since then the duet has been presented by White Wave Dumbo Dance Festival: Grand Finale, Let's Dance: East Flatbush Dance Festival, St. Mark's Church, as celebrity guest artists 3rd Annual Let's Dance to Health Showcase in Arkansas, a shared co-produced evening in Green Space: Take Root Series, the Chorlton Arts Festival in Manchester, England, Houston Fringe Festival in Texas, Centro Maxime D'Harroche in Barcelona, Spain and the Women in Dance Showcase at the Ailey Citigroup Theater. Upcoming perfomances include their 2012 NYC Season at Peridance Theater. The pair have taught master classes at the Zion Arts Centre in Manchester, England, Roehampton University in London and the Debbie Allen Dance Academy Summer Intensive 2011 in Los Angeles. Sobers & Godley are producers for Dance Soiree, a platform for emerging choreographers to showcase their work in New York City and MEN, a show that celebrates and unites emerging and more established male choreographers and dancers!
