Write Riot: Inspired writing through games and collaborative exercises
Join us for writing games, exercises and inspiration!
You will get writing done! Not only that, we promise by the end of the event the words will be flowing freely and you'll have a refreshed view on the grand work of writing.
Treat yourself to: + Collaborative writing + Exquisite prompts + Writerly games + PRIZES of a delightfully writerly sort + Free snacks (bonus!)
PLUS: All attendees will receive a PDF of the writing games and exercises experienced during the event. You may use these for your writing groups, your teaching, or just on your own when you need a writing boost.
Write Night is hosted by Kelsye Nelson. Kelsye is the founder the very popular Seattle Daylight Writers group. Kelsye also hosts community writing events for Hedgebrook, a retreat for women writers. Be sure to be on the watch for her start-up Writer.ly (An independent publishing services marketplace) launching this October.
Seattle writer Lauren B. had this to say of one of Kelsye's previous events:
"I have been going to literary events in Seattle for many years, and this was the most supportive, invigorating, and inspiring group I have experienced. Woke up today feeling super-charged and ready to write!"
PLEASE BRING: Notebook, Pen (or pencil). We will have writing supplies on-hand for those that forget, but you likely will want your own notebook for some of the activities. No need to bring a laptop or anything pre-written.
