This fun, kitschy rock 'n 'roll sci-fi gothic is a cult favorite. The musical tells the story of a newly engaged couple, Brad and Janet, getting caught in a storm and coming to the home of a mad transvestite scientist, Dr. Frank N. Furter, unveiling his new creation, a muscle man named Rocky Horror. A lively evening of theatre and one that you'll never forget! The original Broadway production was nominated for the 1975 Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience. Not recommended for children.
This new take on Janet and Brad's 'surprising' encounter with Frank & Friends comes to you from the mind of Director Amanda Sylvester: a dark, surrealistic, new wave-esque take on the cult classic! Inspired by Nomi, Hagen, Siouxsie, and others, our vision will bring this amazing show to Philly in a fun & unique way! Oh, and did we mention- there will be puppets. Very big pendulous Puppets! After the success of several original productions, including last summer's very popular "Hungry: The Musical", we are excited to bring a new life to this fan favorite. It's all the "Rocky Horror' fun, with a face lift!
