The Sound of Music

Glenlyon Norfolk School is thrilled to present this timeless tale about family, and community in a changing world. Set in Austria in 1938, The Sound of Music follows the story of a free spirited Maria as she leaves the nuns of Nonnberg Abbey, and meets the troubled Von Trapp Family. Little do they know how quickly their lives, community, and world will change forever.

Our production showcases the many creative talents of GNS students. In the cast, you'll see amazing performances by students from the Junior, Middle and Senior Schools, as well as a few faculty cameos. Members of the Band program will be performing in the orchestra pit, and throughout the show some of the cast join in and accompany themselves. The set showcases projections of original art by members of the Senior School Art classes, and the lobby decor has been created by Junior School visual artists.

The Sound of Music runs March 1st to 3rd at 7pm, and culminates in a 'Sing-A-long' matinee performance on March 4th at 2pm. Join us for a tale of growth and hope with The Sound of Music!
