Catch and Release
Catch and Release is an evening of dance, textile, and music installation that invites the viewer to experience the art as they like. Much like in a visual art gallery setting, Catch and Release is configured to allow the audience to move through the space and to make choices about proximity, vantage point, comfort and duration.
Conceived by an investigation of family narrative, tradition and memento; the work explores themes of memory distortion, perception, and recall, translated through the mediums of movement, sound, and graphic textile design.
Refreshments will be available for sale by Voice of the City.
Tickets: $16 pre-sale, $20 at the door
Catch and release is presented in partnership with Voice of the City and is also partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency and a Community Arts Assistance Program Grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events
