Wallyes are "Open" again!! Die hard ice-fishing persons are certainly catching their limit this season!! But, Walleye are not the only thing "Open" on Lake Mille Lacs.
Area businesses have come together to "Open" Mille Lacs Lake for fun and laughter (and prizes) after a few seasons of "Closed Walleye Fishing." The businesses and staff are customizing 17 golf "Open" holes for a super fun crazy golf tournament on January 14th for what is known as the "Mille Lacs Open."
Everyone is pumped up and has their game on!! Like golf, players will be required to play at least 9 holes, but may play up to 17. Playing 9 holes will qualify players for the grand prize! Costumes are highly encouraged. Take it serious or just have fun - Choice is yours!

Other cash prizes and door prizes will be awarded at the end of the tournament
This tournament is said to be "the best, most crazy fun golf tournament that you can find on Mille Lacs Lake in January!!"
Each business is hoping to achieve the "Best Hole" Award and they need YOUR HELP! Golfers will judge each businesses' golf hole during the tournament and the crowd will judge for best costumes at the closing party. Winners will be announced during the party at Appeldoorn's starting at 6pm. Call Tracy Gallati at 763-219-0163 for details.
Golfers have started signing up both individually and as teams. No worries if you are not an avid golfer. This is a FUN event and everyone is encouraged to participate. Clubs will be provided at each hole. Transportation will be provided from each location starting at 10am. After the final party you will be returned to your initial starting destination.
No Walleye's have been hurt or injured in the making of this event.
