All Abooooooard! Step up into a real train car for a wondrous and magical lead-in to Christmas. Come enjoy an opportunity to 'Believe' once again.
The 'North Pole Express' is a thrilling half-hour stationary event based on the children's Christmas story, 'The Polar Express' by Chris Van Allsburg. You will be seated in a 1930's, fully renovated, train car at VIA Rail's Pacific Central Station to experience a scene from that story. You will enjoy a Christmas Magic Show by Matthew Johnson or David Wilson. Upon exiting, you will receive a souvenir ticket to remember to 'Believe'. It's the perfect setup to reading the book to your kids or watching the movie.
Shows every 1/2 hour (using 2 cars) on
Saturday December 22 10am-7:30pm
and Sunday Dec 23 10am-7:30pm.

If no suitable seats on that date, get back to this screen and pick a different date or simply another time.
The Pacific Central 'VIA' Station is just east of the SkyTrain's Main Street station. Metered parking is limited at the train station and on the streets.
The National Railroad Historical Society of B.C. is using a few of their restored passenger carriages from the 'Golden Age' of railroading in this fund-raiser to further future restoration and more public events like this.
Our entertainers, Matthew Johnson, of MagicShow2Go.com, and David Wilson have been thrilling children and adults, alike, world-wide. An infectious style, lively wit and true love of the craft shines through in every performance. The act has been tailored to a family audience, this railway car and the Christmas spirit. It will be truly memorable. Don't miss being amazed and captivated in the magic surrounding Christmas.
Our team has created two economic ticket packages for families from small to large -- $33 (for 3 persons max) and $60 (for 6 persons max). We are pleased to offer seating arrangements so you have a great view of the show. The show is in the middle of the rail car (see the picture) so everyone has a clear view. Its Front Rows of theatre in the round.
The seating is similar to that of a cafe diner booth, but without the table. This diagram, at left, shows the seats by numbers and appears after choosing date, time, and seating type.
LARGE group - is assigned facing seats, numbered and sold as 4 tickets. Purchasing the group of 4 seats = the total special price. These seats hold a maximum of 6 persons (adults with children).
SMALL group - is assigned 1 side of the 'booth', numbered and sold as 2 tickets for the seats = group special price. This half 'booth' accommodates a maximum of 3 persons on the large seat. Another Small Group will occupy the seat opposite.
Single seats are located at the ends of the Family Group seats.
You do not need a PayPal account- they only act as our secure collection service with credit card or by your PayPal, if you have it. Before final purchase, you can uncheck the seats assigned and check the available seats of a preferred positioning or try a different time for better seats. If a Family Group purchase (Small or Large as described), you must check all seats to make your group to be 2 or 4 seats, respectively.

Magic is not appreciated by the very young as they do not understand illusions, its just a man waving his hands. Please consider the audience and realize a child lacking a 1/2 hour attention span may become a disruption to the detriment of all others enjoying the show. We have not set a minimum age as you know if your child is suitable for attending this type of event. If not ready yet, there is always next year.
This is a train ready to go to the North Pole where Santa is busy, busy getting ready for Christmas so he will NOT be on board.

On-line DATES for TICKETS: Click on the arrowhead beside the date range shown to get a 'drop-down' listing of each 1/2 hr show for the 9 days. There are 2 show cars of up-close seating, so lots of listings. Pick the date and time that suits you. Return to this screen to get a different date, if no seats are pleasing on the selected date. Your link to the internet may show the country as USA, just change it to Canada and also the 'Will Call' to be 'Print at Home'. Please contact us or the 800 number on this website, if confusing.
