spit&vigor presents MARY'S LITTLE MONSTER at the Davenport Theatre

From company members that brought you BUTCHER HOLLER HERE WE COME, MY AIM IS TRUE, HELPLESS DOORKNOBS & THE OTHER MOZART

Straight from their New Orleans premier, spit&vigor is thrilled to announce their production of MARY'S LITTLE MONSTER, written by Thomas Kee and directed jointly by Kaitlan Emery and Sara Fellini, for a VERY LIMITED ENGAGEMENT at the Davenport Theatre in NYC. MARY's LITTLE MONSTER will be performanced only twice: once on Tuesday, November 29 and once on Wednesday, November 30 at the Davenport Theatre (354 W 45th St, New York, NY 10036). Performances are at 8PM. Runtime is 1.5 hours. Tickets are $10. For questions or advance reservations, please email spitnvigor@gmail.com.

A new play, set in 1816, the year without summer, at the home of Lord Byron, where the poet is joined by an intimate circle consisting of Percy Shelley, his wife Mary Shelley, her sister Claire, and Byrons personal doctor John Polidori. During their confinement in this Swiss mansion, the characters massive emotions and intellects collide to produce legendary poetry, literature, conflict, catharsis, and discovery.

From company members that brought BUTCHER HOLLER HERE WE COME, MY AIM IS TRUE, HELPLESS DOORKNOBS, and THE OTHER MOZART to New Orleans and whose work has been described by the New York Times as "wrenching and visually eloquent", "darkly humorous", and "deliciously ghoulish" is an immersive ghost story about the conception of Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.

The cast features: Adam Belvo (NYIT Award nominated actor), Tyler Downey, Sara Fellini ("the voice of a crystal bell. Fellini is magnificent" -NOLA Defender), Linnea Larsdotter (winner Best Actress - NYLA international independent film festival), and Ian Petersen.

Sound designer Andy Evan Cohen takes modern music and turns it into a haunting and otherworldly score for this terrifying story of love, lust, and the horror of creation.
