What happens when a detail-obsessed woman tries to time the birth of her child to occur during her favorite month of the year? Nine months of chaos in utero and out! A hilarious and poignant look at motherhood and the need to control, October Baby will make its world premiere as part of SoloFest 2017 on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 7 p.m. (doors at 6:40 p.m.).
October Baby is written and performed by Brooke Baumer, a Yankee-born, Southern-bred, LA-based actress who has graced the small and big screens since 1999. She is most known for her recurring roles on the hit comedies "Fresh off the Boat" (ABC) and "Parks and Recreation" (NBC), among many others. Her first one-woman show, 'Maid to Love, chronicled her adventures as a 10-time bridesmaid. Her latest show, October Baby, is directed by the amazingly talented Jessica Lynn Johnson.
