Inverness Storytelling Festival
Rekindling the Hearth.
Inverness Storytelling Festival returns for a second year with a mixture of tales, music, poetry and craic from Scottish Highlands and distant landscapes.
It will be a celebration of Highland ceilidh culture with stories from: George Macpherson, Bob Pegg, Dougie Mackay, Daniel Serridge, Carol Scorer, Lizzie McDougall, Markus Luukkonen and Alasdair Taylor, Ecopoetry from Helen Moore, Gaelic song from Christina Stewart and global music from Omar Afif (Morrocco), Sergio Zavaleta (Peru) and the Woodland Roots Band and folk sounds from Joe Hill's Wake and Dougie Burns (with a few more surprise acts)

Fri 11th @ La Tortilla assesena 19:00-20:00 Black Dog Days (Bob Pegg) 20:30-22:30 "Heart Is in The Highlands" Open Hearth session (George MacPherson, Dougie Mackay, Christina Stewart) £5 each, £8 for both
Sat 12th @ the Bike Shed, Grant Street 12:00-12.45 "Tales of the Magic Drum"- Childrens Storytelling with Dougie Mackay by donation
13.30-15:00 River Ness Story Walk/ The Old Grey Magician with George Macpherson by donation
15:30-17:00 Tales of The Moray Firth with The Gold and Silver Darlings Story Quilt (Lizzie McDougall) by donation
La Tortilla Asesina 19:00-19.45 Into The Woods (Tales from Finland with Markus Luukkonen)
20:00-21:30 International Wonder Tales & Tunes (Carol Scorer, Dan Serridge, Sergio Zavayeta, Omar Bin Afif) 9.45-11:30 Woodland Roots Music session and dance up!
£8 for full eve programme, £5/4 each Concession available on request
Sunday 13th 13:00-15.30pm @ Fasgadh Community Woodland Gaelic in the landscape & Outdoor Story session by donation
Thursday 17th 19:00-22:00 @ Velocity Cafe Storytelling/Music ceilidh with Joe Hills Wake, Dougie Burns and Dougie Mackay
Friday 18th @ La tortilla Asesina 19:45-22:00 Bard and Harp- Poetry, Stories and harp with Helen Moore and Alasdair Taylor £3-5
