Rat City Recon
Hello and welcome to the First Annual Rat City Recon! We love music. Rat City loves music. We love Rat City. This is the inspiration behind Rat City Recon. This small scale festival will feature 7 bands at 3 venues in the heart of Rat City. With staggered and non conflicting set times, show goers will have an opportunity to see a wide variety of rock/jazz/pop/psychedelic/punk/awesome music at three unique venues in White Center. Our hope is that you also take a minute to eat, drink and enjoy any number of the neighboring businesses (Zippy's Giant Burgers, Proletariat Pizza, Uncle Mike's BBQ, Big Al's Brewery, the Locker Room). We hear that there's a Rat City Roller Girls bout over at Southgate Roller Rink that night as well.
So why pay $20 for a free festival? For one, all the bands are going to get paid and your $20 will help achieve this goal. Most importantly, however, is your chance to purchase a totally awesome limited edition t-shirt created by renowned graphic designer and local rock luminary, Nat Damm! We will print 100 shirts and when they are gone, they are gone. This is your chance to order your shirt in your size and receive a complimentary wristband which will get you happy hour drinks at each of the venues. Whatever shirts are left will be $20 at the show with limited sizes and no wrist bands. So...we suggest you plan ahead, make a night of it and guarantee yourself this kickass shirt which is sure to be a part of history.
