Visions of Grandeur
Legs, Lace, Lipstick, and Lap Dances! Join us for an evening of burlesque dance, live music, and variety acts in a show guaranteed to tickle your fancy.
The evening will feature work excerpts from Simone Sobers Dance evening length work, Visions of Grandeur, a work that explores the stories of three black burlesque dancers in the 1950s.The three women take the audience on a journey of song, burlesque dance, and variety acts that vent their frustrations with men and relationships.
About the company
Simone Sobers Dance founded in 2010, is a New York City based contemporary dance company, with a vision of presenting works that focus on sharing the eclectic, transformative, vulnerable, and celebratory stories of women through the art of dance.
