This is the second live comedy DVD taping of British comedian, Gina Yashere, who broke onto the American comedy scene with her appearances on Last Comic Standing in 2007, where she made it to the final 10. She is also known in the US for her regular, hilarious appearances as "Madame Yashere, The Surly Psychic" on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Gina hails from London via Nigerian parents; her unique take on being both a cultural insider and outsider never fails to raise the roof. Following an early career as a elevator engineer, Gina made her comedy debut at the Edinburgh Festival in 1996 and has wowed and sold out audiences in the UK, the US, Japan, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Canada, South Africa, and all over Europe ever since. Gina has been named "Best Female Comedian" at the Black Entertainment & Comedy Awards (UK) four times in a row so far.
Gina's TV appearances have included her own one-hour Comedy Special "Skinny B*tch"(SHOWTIME), The Jay Leno Show (NBC), The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien (NBC), Last Comic Standing (NBC), Chelsea Lately (E!), Live at Gotham (Comedy Central), Def Comedy Jam (HBO), Comics Unleashed (ABC), The Mobo Awards (UK Host), Mock The week (BBC UK), The Lenny Henry Show (BBC UK), and The Celebrity Fame Academy (BBC UK). Radio shows have ranged from her own BBC Radio London Show to the critically acclaimed radio Sketch show: The Powder Room (BBC Radio UK).
Feature films have included "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" and "Mr. in Between." Gina has also appeared on the West End stage in "The Vagina Monologues" and has performed numerous times at the prestigious "Just For Laughs Comedy Festival" in Montreal and Toronto and at HBO and TBS's "The Comedy Festival" in Las Vegas.

This event will take place at the beautiful and historic 356-seat Brava Theater Center, a former vaudeville house on the vibrant 24th Street corridor in the heart of The Mission District in San Francisco.

From the East Bay:
Take 80 West
Cross Bay Bridge

Parking:
There is metered parking along 24th Street. Meters are checked from 9am to 6pm Monday through Saturday. After 6pm, street parking is free (if you can find it). The closest public parking lot is at the SF General Hospital, located 5 blocks away at 23rd Street and San Bruno. ($1.50/hour)
