Tuesday Night Dinner in July
Monthly Supper Club Throws Comfort Dinner in SHoP (Southside Hub of Production) Mansion
The monthly community-based supper club, Tuesday Night Dinner is cooking up a nostalgic dinner at the Southside art collective, SHoP, in Hyde Park on Tuesday, July 31 at 8pm. SHoP is located in a turn of the century mansion, with this unusual vintage space, Tuesday Night Dinner and SHoP decided to play on the idea of "coming home." The dinner will highlight the great produce selection available at Green City Farmers Market and do a contemporary take on comfort foods. Creative mind and Chef Jeremy Leven brings his young team of artists into SHoP on 5638 S. Woodlawn Avenue in Hyde Park to prepare a four course small plate meal. For $20 people can enjoy each course which emphasizes local ingredients.
Tuesday Night Dinner is an underground dinning community that has been creating eclectic dinners for friends since 2008. With the communal dinner atmosphere, Tuesday Night Dinner is able to connect with the community they serve. Tuesday Night Dinner's mission is to excite locals with fun creative menus at an affordable price, but to also engage with local farmers, artists, and chefs to create a larger community of people who appreciate seasonal, local and sustainable food. Together these partnerships create education, growth, and support.
Tuesday, July 31 Menu (Tentative): Course 1: Green Bean Casserole Course 2: Chicken Wings Course 3: Meat Loaf-Mashed Potato Course 4: Cherry Pie
