San Francisco Choral Artists presents a new season highlighted by adventurous programming, a host of world premieres, and stunning performances in three concert sets.

Light in Winter
With the rare convergence of Hannukah, Christmas, and the Solstice, SFCA looks ahead to the new year and lengthening days with music of contemplation and renewal, of confronting darkness and rejoicing in lights return. Welcome this festive season with music ancient and modern, beloved and new, by Barber, Crabtree, Guerrero, Houghton, Kodály, Lassus, Mallonée, Nixon, Poulenc, Strassburg, Taneyev and others.

Witches, Saints, and Mothers: music by and about women
Hear the vibrant voices of women past and present in their poems, letters, lullabies, laments, and proclamations as we consider womens roles through history some chosen, some not. Also featuring women composers of many eras, both legendary and newly emerging, including von Bingen, Hensel, Beach, Oliveros, Chen Yi, Monk, Barnwell, and winner of the New Voices Project.
