~The Widdler~
Born in Tel Aviv and now living in Austin, TX, The Widdler became a known commodity
in US dubstep thanks to Excisions yearly Shambala mix series and a massive online
presence. As the YouTube views increased, so did the attention of the dubstep world
Yoni Orons music was soon being supported by everyone from Mary Anne Hobbes and
6Blocc to Bassnectar and Skrillex, providing a rare bridge in the
undergroundmainstream gap.
Widdler songs get their power from Orons expert sound design. I like to bring different
aspects of sound, be it musical, cinematic, ambient, etc., said Oron, then mold them
into a deep bass template The result is an array of provocative original sounds
powered by big rolling basslines, a pleasant experience for music fans of all
backgrounds.
Having released with bass music stalwarts like Malabel and Skrillexs multigenre
OWSLA, Widdler has found himself with a diverse fanbase, drawing people from the
festival crowds and the dubstep scene, making him one of the most popular dubstep
artists in the United States. The sound in the US is maturing and progressing in many
different directions. There are more people into the deeper, headier sounds as of late.
Its great inspiration to continue pushing this style of music.
Now many years deep, The Widdler continues to push, staying true to himself and his
art and destroying dance floors across the country. Still, Yoni Oron stays grounded, and
hasnt forgotten the reason he hits the road in the first place.

Thelems come a long way since first firing up Fruity Loops Studio in 2006.
In the intervening decade, after spending a few years honing his craft, Thelem has earned widespread
recognition for building devastatingly heavy beats whilst always looking to create fresh and challenging
directions for his music. Matt combines pulverising sub frequency architecture with a highly varied
production palette, ranging from intensely dark and skeletal halfstep rhythms to the surging raw energy of
his more hip hop influenced sound. He is supported by some of the most influential selectors in the game.
Inspired by textures and soundscapes and drawing from Drum and Bass, Hiphop and Grime, Thelem
showed promise early on. With a dedicated and meticulous approach to studio time, and an emphasis on
high quality control of his output, he was soon picked up by two of Dubsteps flagship labels, Black Box ad
Osiris Music.
His sound is defined by an effortless perfectionism and clinical precision, and his fanbase is a truly global
one thanks at least in part to the scenes leading selectors giving his tunes regular rotation both on the
airwaves and the live circuit.
In addition to his production efforts, armed with the daunting levels of sonic firepower at his disposal,
Thelem has shut down dances at some of Dubsteps most revered events. Hes completed a headline
tour of Australia and New Zealand, traversed the USA alongside his Artikal Music UK labelmates
respectively, and now finds himself making weekly trips to shows across Europe.
