An Iliad
An Iliad by Lisa Peterson and Denis O'Hare based on Homer's The Iliad, translated by Robert Fagles
The Iliad comes to life in this visceral modern-day retelling. Honoring the great tradition of epic poetry, the urgency of Homer's classic bursts forth from a single narrator Taffety Punk company member Esther Williamson with live music accompaniment. The story of Achilles' rage and Hector's passion lives on as a warning to us all of the perils of war and wrath. Wars end, but is there an end to war?
