The Music Department of Hofstra University presents American Chamber Ensemble in Concert
Repertoire for this Celebrating Scott Joplin (1868-1917) and the influence of Ragtime on Classical Music event will be music by American composers Scott Joplin, William Bolcom, Elie Seigmeister, Morton Gould, Paul Schoenfield, and Russias Valery Trofimenko
Performers will be core members of the American Chamber Ensmble, lead by director/pianist Marilyn Lehman, with guest artists, clarinetist Stanley Drucker, bassist Peter Coco and soprano Donna Balson, as well as ACE student award winner Connor Martin, marimba.
