It All Started with a Dog- The Play
The play, is written by Leigh Somerville, adapted as a staged reading and directed by Sharon Agnew, focuses on the life of Rachel Springer, a woman who has spent a lifetime protecting her heart from the dangerous possibilities of love. But when she finds a ragged stray dog on the streets of Washington, DC and takes him home, a sequence of life-changing events lead her down a path she's never explored. Finally, a weekend tragedy turns her world upside down and all it takes to fully open the door to Rachel's heart is the disappearance of the dog that started it all.
Performance of the staged reading of It All Started with a Dog, with be 7 pm, Friday, September 30, at Gray Auditorium in the Old Salem Visitor's Center, 900 Old Salem Road, Winston-Salem, NC. The production crew includes Marsha Hierl as stage manager and Alice Sanders as assistant stage manager.
