The Bloom of Youth: A Musical Celebration with Bostons Young Talent
What a special and joyous evening this will be: a celebration with some of the younger members of our musical community as we toast their achievements at the recent Mid-Atlantic Fleadh Championships for Irish music (A fleadh, pronounced fl-aaa is one of the competitive festivals held all around the world under the auspices of Comhaltas Ceolteori Eireann (CCS), the Organization of Irish musicians. The Boston group participated in songs, tunes, and dance in Parsippany, New Jersey. The evening will see performances from several young musicians who competed at the Mid-Atlantic Fleadh, including several who were selected to go forward to represent Boston and New England at the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Ennis, Co. Clare. This International Festival is the world's largest festival dedicated to celebrating Traditional Irish Arts and we are tremendously proud of all our young musicians who will make the trip to represent our region.
It will be an opportunity for our community to support all our young performers, and provide them with a chance to perform for the home crowd before heading off to Ireland.
All funds raised will go to support youth programing within the Reynolds-Hanafin-Cooley Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann music school.

The Burren Backroom series is now well established as one of the most sought-after boutique series of trad presentation in the world. It has already created already dozens of memorable, intimate, informal presentations held in a truly atmospheric space which was founded by well-known traditional musicians Tommy McCarthy and Louise Costello in Davis Square, Somerville, Massachusetts.
Hosted by Brian O'Donovan of A Celtic Sojourn on WGBH radio, these gatherings feature core performers from many aspects of traditional music as well as special guests, and conversations around the music. As is the custom of the Burren, it is anticipated informal and dynamic post concert sessions will be a feature.
