Believeland follows Carrie, a young playwright, returning home to her native city of Cleveland to figure out what to do with her life. Through her searching, she evokes the spirit of beat poet d.a. Levy and the ghost of her parent's dead talking cat, and in doing so discovers a Cleveland beginning to reclaim itself as a forest.
