Jazzin' Around Baroque
The concept of JAZZIN' AROUND BAROQUE is to take the original melodies of classical repertoire and apply jazz harmonies to them.
During my career, having had the opportunity to work with notable and eclectic exponents of baroque music I had recognized how similar, despite having developed in far distant times, Baroque and Jazz are. And I am not only talking about technical similarities such as the walking bass, the possibility to improvise...but also about the subjects of the lyrics.
