Making their Vancouver debut, Talea Ensemble will present mainstay composers from its repertoire: Pierluigi Billone, Clemens Gadenstätter, and Olga Neuwirth, alongside a premiere by young Canadian composer, Stefan Meyer*. The centerpiece of the program is Billones Ebe und Anders, scored for solo trumpet and trombone with ensemble. With influences ranging from cinematic music to hardcore noise rock, the evenings program will draw connections between some of the most exciting composers of today.
