We have a long line every year due to word of mouth and general pride stumbling, so if the party means a lot to you, please think ahead so you can make the most of it.

This year we are excited to have three musical acts instead of just one!

Ah Mer Ah Su: AH-Mer-AH-Su is the music project of interdisciplinary artist Star Amerasu, whose music and art is based upon her experiences living loud and proud as a queer black trans woman. While her early work was influenced primarily by folk and choral music, she has recently begun experimenting with electronic indie pop. Residing in Oakland, California, Star is a Siren Witch Poptronic Princess and thus takes for granted the power and influence of magic, and her connections to the astral plane. Star has performed 3 consecutive years at the San Francisco Pride Trans March and in 2015 performed for the first time on the Main Stage at Oakland Pride. She has graced international stages captivating audiences with her looped vocals and live electronic percussion in Berlin and Paris along with spots at the Annual Fresh Meat Festival, SomArts, and The News in San Francisco; Safehouse Arts, Dixon Place Theatre and the Times Square Arts Center in New York City; Long Winter and Unit 2 In Toronto, Canada and at Montreal's Slut Island. AH-Mer-AH-Su released her debut studio EP "Eclipsing" in the Spring of 2016.

DUBAIS: Lo Fi Dark DIsco. Dubais is the Arabfuturist multimedia music project of visual artist, cultural activist, and musician Nadia Buyse.

Ancient Wing: Ancient Wing is a Bay Area surfy, post-punk band with witty lyrics about cats and aliens. With dancey drum and bass and psychedelic guitar, they recently became a 4-piece with the addition of a saxophone player. A lot of their influence is from the punk and post-punk bands of the 70s, like The Au Pairs, Gang of Four, and the B52s. Ancient Wing has performed at events like the Clarion Ally Block Party and Ladyfest, and can often be found playing at gallery openings or a packed Oakland house show. Listen to their first album here: https://ancientwing.bandcamp.com/

We will only have ONE burlesque performance this year, but it's one you've been waiting for. Party creator Courtney Trouble will be doing a classic bubble act - bring bubble wands!

Courtney Trouble: Since starting Queerly Beloved 8 years ago, Courtney Trouble has only performed on the El Rio stage once. Their punky cute, raunchy stripper styles come from a decade of queer porn art performance, a long lineage of inspiring queer SF dancers like the Chainsaw Chubettes and Harlem Shake, and a notorious stint at SF's very own Lusty Lady. Before the Bay, with Jenna Riot, Courtney served the PNW queer burlesque scene for a very short time as co-host of Olympia's only raunchy queer vaudeville of the time, les erotiques extraordinaire. Royale is back, for one day only, and please check out courtneytrouble.com to see Courtney's visual art, and troublefilms.com to see the infamous porno.

Our infamous Go Go Dancers will be back, making it impossible to stop dancing on the El Rio stage between acts... Please give them space to do their magic, and PLEASE tip these hard working professional dancers!

Free food and great drink specials are offered every year, as well as door prizes and as always, a few surprises!

This year we will be having our very first visual art show in the back bar, with art by Rae Threat, Courtney Trouble, Maggs Henson, Astrotwitch, and more.

OND4 (Oakland)
From LA to Olympia, OND4 remains punk at heart when she mixes rap/r&b/future beats tracks in true West Coast form. OND4 turned to DJing as practice spaces became scarce and requests to DJ came more frequently. The energetic connection with her audience is what made things click in a way she thought could only happen through playing in bands. OND4 has since studied at Dubspot LA where she was mentored by such greats as DJ Rap, Lacey IQ and DJ Reborn. Totally passionate and dedicated to creating high quality atmosphere for house parties and club nights alike, OND4 knows how to get and keep a party going. Now residing in the Bay Area, she plays all over and you can find her holding it down at her new event, Lucid Wave, in Oakland.
