Pete Riley and Amy Wadge, supported by Ruby Muse
Pete and Amy first teamed up over six years ago, and have played hundreds of live gigs all over the country. Their albums "Rivers Apart" and "Afterglow" are essentials in a discerning music lover's collection. Pete spent time in the 90's in the USA with his band Treehouse. He has written and recorded with many different artistes worldwide. These include Edwin McCain, Narada Michael Walden, Maia Sharp, Angie Aparo, Kevin Kinney, Henry Priestman (The Christians), Deadmono and most recently Amy Wadge. Amy is originally from Bristol, and is now based out of Cardiff. After playing a bunch of shows and writing together they soon realised there was a special chemistry between them both and this led to the decision to record an Amy Wadge/Pete Riley duo album followed by a UK tour. They haven't looked back. Earlier this year, they released their third album as a duo, "Bygones".
Amy has known Ed Sheeran since he was seventeen. Together, they co-wrote his early EP, Songs I Wrote With Amy and a number of other songs including, Gold Rush, which featured on the deluxe edition of Ed's, multi-million selling, debut album, +, (Plus). Amy also co-wrote the track, Even My Dad Does Sometimes, on the deluxe edition of X. But most notably, she co-wrote Thinking Out Loud with Ed.
Thinking Out Loud, was the third single from Eds second album, the triple Grammy nominated, X, (Multiply). It went to No. 1 in the UK chart in November 2014 after spending 19 weeks in the Top 40, breaking the record for the longest ever ascent to the peak position. The track went platinum later that month and returned to the No. 1 spot for a second time in December 2014.
Apart from the fact that Pete and Amy are superb musicians in their own right....you just have to hear them together. Sensational.
Supporting Pete and Amy will be local duo Ruby Muse. Jools and Malcolm Heyes have built a loyal, local following and will be playing songs from their two CDs - "Ruby Muse" and "Red Guitar in a Blue Room".
