CLASS DETAILS
Scaravelli Inspired Yoga
A gentle yet deep form of yoga. Feel how each posture incorporates the whole body working together as one. Find space in your joints, lightness in your body and strength in your core. A great way to wake up the body at the beginning of International Yoga Day. Movement is the song of the body. This song, if you care to listen to it, is beauty. Vanda Scaravelli. Suitable for all abilities.
Acro Yoga
Acro Yoga combines yoga, healing arts, and acrobatics. It blends the wisdom of yoga, the dynamic power of acrobatics, and the loving kindness of healing arts. These three lineages form the foundation of a practice that cultivates trust, playfulness and community. Acro Yoga is for everyone - regardless of age, yoga experience or fitness level. You do not need to come with a partner to take part (you can if you want to), but you need to be prepared to come along and work with others. It'll be a fun, creative and rewarding session so get booking!
Introduction to the 7 Chakras 7 energy centres of the subtle body
Have you heard of the chakras and wondered what they are all about? We will introduce the Chakras, explain enough to demystify and invite you to practise some exercises and postures to connect with the first 4 chakras and hopefully feel your charge. Sound vibration and a closing chakra meditation will take you across the rainbow bridge to experience the 3 higher chakras bringing all 7 chakras together. Theory/ practice/ sounding and meditation
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga involves passive and static yoga postures that take place mainly on the floor, and are held for 3-10 minutes. Yin energy is cool and relaxing; it is associated with the moon, so this class will naturally reflect those qualities. The aim is to soften the muscle, connective tissue and facia around the joints to increase flexibility and create space; and ultimately increase mobility. This class will focus on meditation, breathing and turning inwards to listen.
Vinyasa Flow
By combining mindfulness, precision and strength Vinyasa Flow is an incredibly efficient, balanced yoga class with maximum impact. Strongly promoting connection of movement to breath it focuses on correct alignment in the body within a flowing sequence of varying pace. This Vinyasa Flow class is for all ages and abilities who are seeking a balance of challenge and restoration. Raise the heart-rate, increase circulation and calm the nervous system.
Yoga Nidra
Be prepared to lie down and get really comfortable so you can be taken on a guided meditation around your whole body. Nidra means sleep in Sanskrit so snoring is definitely allowed. Nidra allows you to meditate without the need to clear your mind, facilitates the setting of a clear intention and enables the brain to operate on a different wavelength and therefore heal. Please bring a blanket and cushion for maximum comfort. There will be a short meditation followed by a longer one. meditation
