Symphony of 2000
After the rousing success of 2014's Symphony of 1000, we return for an event even bigger and more inspiring: the Symphony of 2000. This years event will feature 1000 musicians performing with the addition of 1000 voices, creating a symphonic and choral event not to be missed. The Symphony of 2000 strives to bring together musicians of all ages and skill levels together to collaborate as a community and as inspiration to the surrounding community.
The Symphony of 2000 will take place on November 20, 2016 at Sacramento's Memorial Auditorium. Instrumentalists and vocalists will come together on event day for an afternoon of rehearsal followed by a 4 pm public concert.
This event is open to interested instrumentalists and vocalists of any age and any skill level. Participating instruments are: violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, french horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium/tuba, and percussion.
