Cultivating Community 2016 Twilight Dinner Series
You are warmly invited to join Cultivating Community for a memorable evening. Please take part in our 2016 season of casual, three-course Sunday night dinners cooked with fresh produce grown by youth growers and New American farmers in Cultivating Community's programs, as well as ingredients from other Maine producers and hosted this year at The Well at Jordan's Farm at 21 Wells Road in Cape Elizabeth. This year's dates are June 26, July 17, August 7, August 14, and September 11 at 6PM. We may also be adding a "wear your sweater/bundle up" dinner in early October.
Each Twilight Dinner is prepared by a southern Maine star chef. Your participation will support fabulous food production and food access programs AND provide you with a unique and memorable dining experience.
Chefs for the dinners are: Sunday, June 26th. Chefs Ilma Jeil Lopez and Damian Sansonetti of Portland's fabulous Italian bistro, Piccolo. Beverages provided by Portland's brand new Lone Pine Brewing Company. Additional valued sponsorship provided by the Maine Brew Bus.
Sunday, July 17. Chefs Austin Miller and Hana Tamaki of Portland's highly buzzed-about Japanese street-food style restaurant on wheels, the Mami Food Truck. Beverages provided by Rising Tide Brewing Company.
Sunday, August 7. Chef Leslie Oster of the inimitable West End food venue, Aurora Provisions. Beverages provided by Allagash Brewing Company.
Sunday, August 14. Chef Emmet Helrich of uber-cool and delicious Local 188 Restaurant and Lounge will be teaming with colleague Chef Paul Tuck of Sonnys. Beverages provided by Bunker Brewing Company.
Sunday, September 11. The Wells own Chef Jason Williams will team with Chef Bryan Dane of Rosemont Market Productions to close out the 2016 Twilight Dinner Series with sumptuous local fare. Beverages provided by Oxbow.
Dinners take place at picnic tables in good weather or in the Well's gazebos in the rain.
Each Twilight Dinner consists of a single three-course meal prepared from farm fresh ingredients. For this reason, specific dietary restrictions cannot be accommodated and Twilight Dinners may not be a good fit for people eating limited diets.
While you are here, enjoy the farm setting and learn more about Cultivating Community's youth, farming, and food programs.
Come in all weather, and dress for cool Maine evenings. BYOB is acceptable, but beer and farm tea are included in the price of dinner. Children welcome.
Note: A very small number of tickets MAY be available at the farm the night of the dinner. Please see other Twilight Dinner dates if the date you selected is sold out.
