The Skints and The Scotch Bonnets at Tropicalia

The Skints are a UK ska reggae band who are being branded the torch bearers of uk reggae. Although they have limited headline history in the US, theyve supported Tribal Seeds, Fortunate Youth, Fishbone, Easy Star All-Stars and have dates booked with Stephen Marley, Morgan Heritage and The Expanders. Theyve played Cali Roots + Punk Rock Bowling (both incoming calls). Of the few dates they have headlined, they did 425 paid at the Roxy on a Tuesday and 250 paid in SF on a Monday (both first time thru). In the UK theyve headlined Royal Albert Hall and have dates as direct support to The Specials @ 5,000/show. The album is on Easy Star Records, who are all-in on them. Theyve been offered tours ranging from Dirty Heads to Devotchka to give a scope of their audience (but were unavailable).
The Scotch Bonnets are the Baltimore/DC reggae sisters and brothers who always bring the good-love vibe with their funky reggae, rocksteady, and soul-flavored sound.
