RELATIVE POSITIONS
Relative Positions is a multi-disciplinary performance event to be presented on Fri, July 6, 2012. Based loosely on Improv, presented at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in 2010, the event is structured as an immersive performance "tour" through the Union Project on North Negley Ave in Pittsburgh.

Over twenty artists  choreographers, musicians, writers/poets, installation artists, and visual artists  are being commissioned to create work in the building site. Each artist, or group of artists, presents a 5-20 minute piece, which continues on a loop through the evening. The tours will be semi-guided for the audience to experience the space and the artists in a comfortable explorative way. The tours are designed such that each piece is viewed in its entirety, though each tour is slightly different. Audiences have a choice in their experience: staying in one area to view one piece multiple times, or moving through the venue at their own pace.

Artists will be presented in two Acts, to fully experience the building in multiple ways. Audience members are welcome to stay at the venue or come and go as they please. Light appetizers and cocktails will be provided throughout the evening, suggested donations will go directly back into the project funds.

An exclusive VIP hour will happen between 6pm-7pm prior to the start of the show. Unique catered hors d'oeuvres and speciality cocktails will be served with intimate performances by selected artists and Continuum Dance Theater will occur throughout the VIP event.
