Upper Hand Brewery's First-Ever Backyard BBQ
We're throwing a BBQ - Yooper style - in the backyard of the brewery. Come join us for a beer-drinking, pig-eating, double-ringer-throwing, rock-n-rolling good time.

STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW
Is this an all ages event?
Everyone must be at least 21 or over. Make sure to bring your ID. No one will be admitted into the festival without their ID. Sorry, but no babies, children, strollers, or pets (exceptions will be made for service animals, of course.)
Can I get a refund if I don't use my ticket?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds, though we're sure you can find a friend who'd be glad to take any unused tickets off of your hands.
What if it rains or snows?
We are expecting a beautiful summer day in the U.P., though the party will go on whether it rains or even snows.
Will the brewery or taproom be open?
It's not a BBQ if you're hanging out inside. The brewery and taproom will be closed for the day, but beers will be flowing in the backyard.
What type of food will you be serving?
We'll be roasting a pig (or maybe a few), along with all the trimmings. We'll also have all of your favorite BBQ sides. Did we mention it's all you can eat?
Should I bring cash?
We'll accept credit cards or cash for tickets at the door, beer sales and Upper Hand merchandise. Our wooden nickels can be purchased for $4 each to exchange for beer.
What if I don't drink beer?
We'll have water, lemonade, and iced tea, but we will not have wine or liquor.
Should I bring a cooler?
Coolers, outside food and beverages aren't allowed. Don't worry, we'll have enough food and beer on hand to keep you satisfied.
Can I bring a chair or picnic blanket?
Of course, we strongly encourage you bringing whatever keeps you comfortable at a backyard BBQ.
Can I re-enter if I leave?
You can return if you leave, just make sure you don't lose your wristband.
Can I ride my bike?
Yes, but if you'd like to lock it up be sure to remember to bring your own lock.
Will there be public transportation?
Yes, there will be busses available for rides home after the event. We'll also have a shuttle to and from Delta County Airport's parking lot to our brewery. A list of public transportation will be available at the event and on our website.
Where should I park?
There will be plenty of parking at the brewery and at the nearby Delta County Airport. If you decide to fly in, you can park your plane at the airport and easily walk to the brewery.
If I'm traveling from out of town, where can I stay and what else is there to do?
If you are visiting Escanaba, we encourage you to explore and make and make a vacation out of it. Check out www.visitescanaba.com and www.deltami.org for local lodging options and things to do.
What type of games?
We'll have a ton of free lawn games, including horseshoes, cornhole, ladder ball and even human foosball (Google it!).
