Are you interested in becoming a Habitat Steward in your community who creates areas for wildlife? The Habitat Stewards Training empowers volunteers to help individuals in Kitsap County create, preserve, and restore wildlife habitat.
A 30-hour volunteer commitment within a year after the training is required. We will provide coffee, tea, and snacks at each training session you are welcome to bring a brown bag dinner.
Presentations from NWF staff and local environmental educators during the training will include, but are not limited to the following topics: Rain Gardens, Pollinators, Native Plant Gardening, Sustainable Gardening Practices, Climate Change, NW Ecology, Noxious Weeds, Gardening for Wildlife, Habitat Restoration
Training Dates: Thursday June 23rd 6:00-9:00pm Saturday June 25th Field Trip 10:00-2:00pm Wednesday June 29th 6:00-9:00pm Downtown Bremerton Library Meeting Room Thursday July 7th 6:00-9:00pm Thursday July 14th 6:00-9:00pm
