Boise Blues Festival 2016

Tickets will be $20 at the door (no member discounts). We encourage printed or print-at-home tickets to save you time in the will call line. Gates open at 4pm. Music begins at 5pm. You may want to arrive early to assure timely entry.
All ages show. Children 12 and under are free. 13 and over need standard ticket. No outside alcohol or glass. There will be excellent Food Truck options and beer, wine and other beverages available! Please support our vendors who help make this festival possible.
This year's annual Boise Blues Festival to be held at Idaho Botanical Garden will feature the award-winning, hard-touring, guitar slinger Ana Popovic. Popovic, who played to a sold-out house in Boise last year, blends smoking electric funk and slide guitar, jazzy instrumentals and a tight blues groove with soulful, feminine vocals. Bruce Springsteen says "Ana is one helluva guitar player!"
Born in Serbia and now based in Memphis, she has become an irresistible force in the world of contemporary blues music. She is the only female guitar player added to the 2014-16 all star Experience Hendrix lineup; a nationwide tour celebrating the music and legacy of Jimi Hendrix.
Ana and her powerful band are tirelessly touring, playing major blues, jazz and rock festivals. Ana has shared headlining stages with B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Joe Bonamassa, Gary Clark Jr., Jonny Lang and many others. She is touring in support of her new 3 CD release, Trilogy, which will be on sale at the festival.
The Festival will also feature traditional soul-blues Andy T Band out of Nashville, with harmonicist/vocalist RJ Mischo, Boise's Smooth Avenue six-piece ensemble fronted by JT, and the BBS Scholars and Friends. An important part of our mission as a non-profit organization is to help promising young blues talents develop their skills and have opportunities to play publicly. A portion of the proceeds goes to the Idaho Foodbank. Boise Blues Society is sponsored in part by AmeriBen/IEC Group, Jo's Traveling Bar, and the Riverside Hotel.
